Ye Shall Be Sorrowful

John 16:20, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.”

Why did Jesus say that we would be sorrowful? It's because we care as Christians; but the heathen world doesn't care, which is why they rejoice.

1st John 5:19 tells us that "the whole world lieth in wickedness." The unsaved world loves evil, they love wrong doing, they love unrighteousness. Television glorifies evil people, and evil people glorify television. People can't seem to get enough TV. Hollywood is a cesspool of iniquity.

The nightclubs are filled with unrepentant sinners, who are looking for a good time. The taverns are crowded with Christ-rejecters who care not about the things of God. All the sinful world wants to do is “get down and party.”

People exclaim, “It's Vegas, Baby!”; But God replies, “It's Hell, fool.” God hates SIN CITY! How dare men parade their evil and promote such wickedness. Truly, God has no more reasons to bless America. Just as Abraham couldn't find even 10-righteous people in Sodom, I dare say that God would be satisfied with the number of righteous people remaining in the United States.

I don't condemn anyone, for the Bible condemns all humanity as being guilty sinners in God's eyes. I'm just preaching the truth of God's Word. Are there no righteous people remaining in America?

I hear pastors saying wonderful things about President Obama, endorsing his presidency, even though Obama has sworn to expand the rights of homosexuals, abortionists and Illegal Immigrants. Jeremiah 10:21, “For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.” The word “brutish” means “resembling a beast; showing lack of human sensibility.” This would certainly describe the thousands of pastors in America who support abortion, homosexuality and the Communist agenda of the Obama administration. Have America's pastors lost their minds?

Literally, most of America's pastors are unknowingly embracing Communist tyranny by blindly supporting bad government. Government was intended to be BY the people, FOR the people, and OF the people. That's not the monstrosity we see forming in America today, where government is BY the corporations, FOR the corporations, and OF the corporations. The creation of the 501c3 tax-exempt charity in the 1950's was nothing more than a subtle way of crippling the voice of the Church. Thus, it's ok for the government to meddle in our churches; but it's against the law for churches to meddle with the government. This is how tyranny works. I can do it; but you can't.

Those who love the Lord Jesus Christ the most nowadays are those who are the saddest, and weep the most, and lament much over the wickedness of our nation. While the sinful world parties and enjoys their life to the fullest; we weep as Christians and find it difficult to enjoy anything, because we know that 99% of the people in this world are headed for eternal punishment in Hell. We know that Communism will overtake and destroy America, meaning our children and their children. We know that there are millions of starving children, whom no one cares about; while the wicked elite spend billions-of-dollars sending robots to Mars, building Weapons of Mass Destruction, and stealing trillions more. Yes, trillions!

Only God knows fully how much evil is in the world today, and He is keeping track of every sin (Revelation 20:12), even the words we speak (Matthew 12:36).

Yes, there is much sorrow for the Christian in this sin-cursed, uncaring, cold, hateful, selfish, cruel, insane and slanderous world. Every one of the Apostle were martyred, with the exception of John who was exiled to the island of Patmos. 2nd Timothy 3:12 tells us that those who “live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” Christians have always been persecuted. Daniel was attacked and cast into a den of hungry lions. King David had sorrow daily in his heart because of his enemies (Psalm 13:2). Joseph was sold into slavery by his own family. That's pretty bad when your own family cuts your throat. Stephen was stoned to death in Acts 7 for preaching the Gospel, and the Bible says men literally gnashed upon Stephen with their teeth (Acts 7:54). There are umpteen more examples in the Scriptures of God's children being persecuted. And so it is today.

It's primarily because we care as Christians that we sorrow; but the heathen world doesn't care, which is why they rejoice. It is lonely to have God's unconditional love for those around us, while surrounded by carnally-minded people who have no idea what Biblical love is. The world's love is conditional, which is no love at all. A person can be fond of you one day; but become your worst enemy the next. Most people are shallow these days. It's difficult enough finding a true Christian today; let alone a Christian who loves Jesus Christ and wants to please God by winning souls, contending for the Christian faith, taking a stand for God and enduring all the persecutions that come along with serving God.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
